Comparative Time Kill Studies

Pathocept™ kills pathogens faster, more effectively and more safely than the sanitizers most commonly used today.

In controlled time kill studies, hypochlorous acid (HOCl)—the active ingredient in Pathocept™— was compared against two of the most common topical antiseptic sanitizers. (See the chart below).

Using minimum bactericidal concentrations (MBC) at room temperature for 60+ minutes, hypochlorous acid was able to kill all of the test organisms in less than a minute, while standard bleach (NaOCl) ranged from 5 to 15 minutes, and hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) was not able to kill >99.99% of two of the organisms in over 60 minutes!
